Antonia's Line - 2 stars (average)
A disappointment for me. The postscript said "Winner of the 1995 Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film and many other prestigious international awards, Antonia's Line is the remarkable story of a woman who is building a new life with her daughter in a quiet Dutch village after the second World War II. earthy, sexy, romantic and full of laughter and warmth, is a multi-generational joyous celebration of simple pleasures and enduringPassions. "
Shoot It sounded good to me, but just do not manage their billing. There is a dark side to this film, looking at the transcript or to be mentioned. Yes, there are some sex, some romance, some terrible moments, some tender moments and some moments of multi-generational.
There is also a daughter (and is) wants a baby but does not need a husband and father of her baby (try, I think that Hollywood is not the first, driving here).
There are two brutalRapes of children (which, of course, increases the safety of aspiring home movies). E 'cruelty even with all the fun and laughter mixed. There is a cold-blooded murder.
But perhaps the most distressing problem is the complete lack of intellectual development by anyone in this film, including a priest who has sex with a girl in the confessional (no wonder Hollywood gave the film an Oscar) were able .
The people in this film did not believe in God, but are simplypassing time until their last days. Whatever your religious beliefs, with some spiritual development is really a good idea in this world, and you can have spiritual development without the exercise of a religion.
In the Bible the word fool does not mean someone is stupid, but someone who orders his life as if God does not exist.
This film would be a much more significant if the person who wrote the screenplay has acknowledged the existence of a higher power toOver time, the simple pleasures and enduring passions. I'm not a better person to see this movie.
If you want to see a lot more foreign films with subtitles for this movie Oscar winner, try the choir (Les Chroistes in French), an absolutely excellent film for the first time director Christophe Barratier, who won the best of my knowledge, no price whatsoever.
The Aviator - 2 stars (average)
Leonardo DiCaprio as Howard Hughes in a filmHughes captures the life of his arrival in Hollywood for the onset of his illness that forced him into retirement for the rest of his life.
Hughes was a billionaire, who is also a great visionary in the field of aviation, and a filmmaker of some note. His obsessive-compulsive disorder reduced his contribution to the world, but not its effect.
DeCaprio is nothing less than sensational in this action mapping. E 'was nominated for an Oscar for Best Actor but lost to Jamie FoxxRay, the story of Ray Charles. I have not seen Ray yet, but I think that DiCaprio could not win the Oscar, even if it does not become active Foxx.
The reason for The Aviator had a difficult start, and is not nearly as funny a movie as a film about Ray Charles, who is loved by everyone who heard his music and history.
The beginning of this film shows the mother plant the seed in his mind that he was not really sure of germs, what they buy and that has in it the rest of his natural life.Cate Blanchett won the supporting actress Oscar for her role as Katharine Hepburn in motion.
The Aviator had 11 Oscar nominations and five wins, including Blanchett. Despite the performance of DiCaprio and Cate Blanchett, I can not give this movie a 3, although it is my intention to do so, the film was simply too negative and too graphic in its presentation.
